Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting (ARFF) IC Certification Program
Blue Card's ARFF Incident Command Certification Program Launches in Canada in 2026
Created in collaboration with experienced ARFF incident commanders, this program delivers real-world scenarios based on standards and processes developed by Alan Brunacini in Fire Command. This includes the standard 8 Functions of Command and Strategic Decision-Making.
Why It Matters
Aircraft emergencies pose serious threats to lives within a very short period of time. The ARFF Program enhances incident management by unifying ARFF resources and off-airport fire crews into a standard command system—ensuring stronger coordination, faster deployment, and better outcomes. Strong coordination, fast deployment, and more effective outcomes also improve the return of airport operations after an incident.
The Blue Card ARFF module complements existing Blue Card training but can also function as a stand-alone program, addressing the specialized needs of airport rescue teams.
